Welcome back to the Long Branch Middle School. The "middle school" years are often some of the most challenging for students. You are expected to be more responsible, organized, and accountable just because you have moved into a different building. While these are all important characteristics for success, the process of getting there looks different for everyone. Some students may take more time to develop their organizational skills, while others have a system in place. Some students may want to create excuses for not being responsible instead of being accountable for their duties. As 8th graders, you have had two years to develop these skills and they will certainly be put to the test in our class and others. The goal this year is to fully develop your academic and life skills to prepare you for the rigors of high school and beyond, whether that is higher education, the workforce, or serving in the military. I look forward to helping you on your journey.
