Principal & Supervisor Certificate - getting dusty, but someday, may be put to use!
In December 2002, I read an ad in the Asbury Park Press for a position in the LBPS as a middle school English teacher. After being interviewed during my last week of student teaching, I was hired and began teaching at the middle school in January 2003.
I spent my first six years teaching 8th-grade English Language Arts, where I helped my students develop a love of reading and writing. For the next six years, I served as the middle school English Language Arts Facilitator. I learned a great deal during this time about how to approach the teaching of reading and how to utilize the latest research to improve instruction. This year marks my 22nd year overall, and I am extremely grateful to be a part of the Long Branch Public Schools family.
In addition to my role as a teacher, I also serve as the head teacher for the ELA department, the coordinator of the National Junior Honor Society, and the assistant wrestling coach at the Long Branch High School. Check out the NJHS link for the most updated news.
