• Civics Course of Study

    Civics is the study of citizenship and government.  It is the study of what it means to be a citizen.  A citizen is a legally recognized member of a country.  The word civics comes from the Latin civis, which means “citizen.”  The concept of citizen originated in Greece around 590 BC.
