Welcome
We are off to a great start this year! The students have taken to their pencils and erasers and are looking forward to learning each day.
The students have been to the library and are super excited about checking out books! Gym, Art, World Language and Music are enjoyed by all. We also enjoyed a wonderful day celebrating Hispanic Heritage!
During the month of October, we will be learning more about what good writers do, as well as how to use correct punctuation in writing. In reading, the students will learn how to make text-to-self, text-to-text and text-to-world connections while reading.
In social studies, we will be learning about rules; school and classroom. In Unit 2 math, we will learn about three specific uses of numbers in real-world contexts: the use of numbers in telephone numbers, in telling time, and in counting money.
We look forward to celebrating Halloween. The students have already begun discussing their costumes for the Halloween Parade. This month will be exciting!!!
Don’t forget; NO SCHOOL on Monday, October 8th in recognition of Columbus Day.
❤ Love learning,
