    Hi, I'm Mrs. Balesterri.  I have had the joy to be an Enrichment teacher for 13 years.  The Long Branch School System designed an Enrichment Program dedicated to the academic growth and creative development of all students.  We believe strongly that students are most productive and stimulated when they are pursuing their own interest in an enriched environment.  Enrichment students develop skills in planning, researching using outlines, note cards, graphic organizers, etc.  They then write a rough draft, edit it with teacher assistance and produce a final copy of their report.  The report includes a title page and bibliographies are included with the 4th and 5th grades.  The child then culminates his/her report with a self-chosen art or technology project. Students explore content beyond the prescribed curriculum to maximize achievement in skills appropriate to student's ability level.  The development of motivation and self-directed learning is also fostered.  The students are  provided experiences in creative thinking and problem solving.
