The NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards in Dance are composed of 4 strands: The Creative Process, History of the Arts and Culture, Performance, and Aesthetic Responses and Critique Methodology. Dance I/II students will participate in structured learning experiences that encompass all 4 strands throughout the year, with an emphasis on The Creative Process and Performance. Additionally, through the study of dance, students will also exercise critical thinking and problem solving skills as related to the NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards in 21st Century Life and Skills.
