FRENCH 2 DESCRIPTION
Level II offers the student the opportunity to further develop mastery of the basic skills-listening, reading, comprehension, speaking and writing as well as focuses on improving interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational and communication skills. Level I vocabulary is expanded through thematic units (e.g. travel, shopping, Careers). Students acquire a greater flexibility in expressing themselves and improve their comprehension skills through varied activities. Students will expand their knowledge and understanding of the culture of the people whose language is being studied as well as evolving climate issues in various geographical areas. For differentiation purposes and meeting the needs of all students, novice mid and novice high standards have been included in the curriculum, in all three modes of communication: interpretative, interpersonal and presentational.
