Amanda - Leigh Terry was born and raised in the Long Branch community. She graduated from LBHS in 1997 and attended Monmouth University. In her final semester, she began working at LBHS and graduated in January 2002 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and Education. Throughout her nearly 15 years of working at the high school, she has been involved with the Marching Band, assisted with the Mathematics Club, and served as co- class advisor for the classes of 2005 and 2010. She has been a tutor with the after school Homework Club, SAT Prep class and currently serves as a member of the school's AntiBullying Committee. Over the years, she has taught Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Calculus, and HSPA Prep. She is in her eighth year of teaching Freshman Orientation/Personal Finance, a course dedicated to career and character education, as well as the basics of economics. Her philosophy is to motivate her students to become the very best they can be as a unique individual, through their journey in better understanding themselves.
