Teacher Biography
Kenneth G. Morrison is a teacher of English with Long Branch High School. In this role, Mr. Morrison manages all aspects of English instruction, including direct instruction (lecture, powerpoint presentations, modeling) facilitation of individual learning (independent reading, writing, research) and collaborative learning (group discussion, group work, role-playing). A big believer in the value of education, Mr. Morrison supports the development of his students both socially and academically. Mr. Morrison is a highly-qualified teacher of English and holds a Bachelor's degree in English and Secondary Education from The College of New Jersey.
Mr. Morrison is no stranger to English instruction, having spent over 14 years as a teacher in the Long Branch Public School District. Prior to beginning his career in Long Branch , Mr. Morrison spent time as a student teacher in rural, suburban, and urban settings, seeking to further develop himself as a professional and to experience a variety of learning environments.
Mr. Morrison helps students to become their greatest selves by providing rigorous academic challenges and seeking to help students become positive contributors to society. To that end, Mr. Morrison has held positions as a Class advisor, co-advisor of the African-American club, Homework Club English tutor, Mentor, and Tardy Attendance Coordinator at various times.
