Hello and Welcome to my web page!

This is my sixth year teaching at the Alternative Academy! I have worked at the elementary and secondary level as a former substitute for two years. I am a traveler throughtout the school, so please say hello when you see me! I teach 8th grade Social Studies for and High School courses such as: US I and Careers. I am a PROUD Long Branch native as well as a former graduate! It is a privilege to have an opportunity to give back to my community that raised me and watched me grow! I am so happy to work with you and your children.

I am first generation born, fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, and proficient in French. While attending LBHS, I was lucky to have history teachers inspire me to strive for success and ultimately develop a passion for history. After LBHS, I attended Brookdale Community College and also attended The College of NJ where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in History Secondary Education. I am the first in my family to graduate from college.

When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my family and friends, read, travel, visit museums, walk my dog, exercise, eat healthy, and sing karaoke (even though I'm not a great singer, but that won't stop me! It's a good confidence booster).
