    5.1 Science Practice
     
    A We will understand concepts and principles of science.                          

    We will use measurement and observation
    tools to categorize, represent, and interpret the world.

    B We will investigate.

    C We will improve our Scientific Knowledge over time.
     
    D. We will participate in groups to conduct science experiments.


    5.2 Physical Science

    We will understand that:

    A.Everything is made up of matter.

    B.Matter can change physically or chemically.

    C.Matter exist in several states; solids, liquids and gasses.
     
    D.Energy is transferred and saved.

    E.It takes energy to make objects move in different ways.



    5.3 Life Science
    We will understand:

    A.The difference between living and nonliving things.

    B.All living things need food for life.

    C.All living things need each other and the environment
    to meet their basic needs. 

    D.Living things reproduce.

    E.All living things interact with each other and the environment
    to live. 


    5.4 Earth Science

    We will understand:

    A.Objects of the universe.

    B.How the earth changes with time.

    C.How living things use Natural resources for life. 

    D.The earth’s climate and weather and how it affects life.
