Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying- HIB Grades Report
The attached Long Branch Public School -District HIB Grades Report for the 2015-2016 school year has been posted for public review as required by the NJ Department of Education under the Anti Bullying Bill of Rights Act (ABR) (P.L.2010, c.122).
School grades in the report are determined through the completion of individual School Self-Assessments conducted at each school. The assessments measure indicators within eight core elements that encompass the ABR Act and evaluate the school and district’s degree of compliance, with the maximum total score for a school /district of 78 points.
Each school self-assessment reviews and subsequently reports information on the harassment, intimidation and bullying ( HIB) prevention initiatives, programs and approaches that are being implemented at each school and districtwide as required by law ( N.J.S.A. 18A:37-17a). Through the implementation and annual review of the HIB Grades report each school is able to determine their individual strengths and weaknesses, celebrate successes and address necessary improvements that will continually foster positive school climates and improved school cultures.
