Meghan Mueller received her Bachelor's degree from Villanova University in Human Services with a double minor in Psychology and Sociology in 1999. She then furthered her education by obtaining her Master's of Social Work degree at Fordham University in NY. She specialized in children and families. Upon receiving her degree she began her career in school social work. She first worked at the Children's Learning Center through the United Cerebral Palsy Association in Long Island, NY. After returning back to her home in New Jersey, she joined the Long Branch Public Schools in 2002 and has worked at the Alternative Academy for the past 8 years. She has obtained her Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) in New Jersey and is a certified School Social Worker as well. Mrs. Mueller simultaneously works for a community agency providing social work services to children and their families in Monmouth County. Mrs. Mueller is the Team Leader for the Challenge & Achievement Programs at the Alternative Academy. She also serves as the academy's Anti-Bullying Specialist and assists the ELA facilitators throughout the building.
