Students and Parents of Long Branch High School,

Welcome back to the 2011-2012 school year! It is my honor and privilege to write to you in my new role as the lead principal of Long Branch High School. Having been a part of the Long Branch High School family and tradition for over fifteen years as a graduate, teacher, and coach, I am extremely excited about the opportunity to lead this great school.  

As the new instructional leader at Long Branch High School, I embrace my responsibility to challenge students to become critical thinkers and help them develop the academic and social skills necessary to reach their highest potential. On each and every day, Long Branch High School will be a school in which we work individually, and collectively to know, to support, and to educate our students. In the years ahead, the Long Branch High School faculty and staff will strive to help our students meet and exceed the standards set forth by the State of New Jersey by engaging students in rigorous curricula that challenge both the intellect and the imagination. Additionally, the faculty and staff will introduce new ideas and programs that are aimed at developing 21^stCentury learning skills in order to prepare students for the world in which they will live and work.

The 2011-2012 school year promises to be the best ever! There are three essential elements already in place that will make this a reality. Our community continues to demonstrate unconditional support of our students and our school. Our teaching staff is devoted to continually learning new strategies that enable them to reach every student. Our students are putting their best foot forward and taking ownership of their educational goals. With these three elements, we can only expect great results!

I look forward to working with the students, parents, staff members and community members on continuing the tradition of excellence at Long Branch High School, and improving upon that excellence by providing even greater services to its community of devoted students and parents.
