I began my teaching career at the West End School, where I completed my student teaching in the fall of 1997.  Then, I was a substitute teacher in the district and I took over a first grade class at the Lenna Conrow School and was hired full time in May of 1998.  While teaching first grade at Lenna Conrow, I earned the Teacher of the Year award.  During my teaching career,  I took some time off to have my children.  I returned from my second maternity leave to the Anastasia School as the Student Advisor for grades pk-2.  I was the advisor for two years and then moved into second grade as the in-class support teacher for 7 years.   I  have also taught in fourth, fifth and first grades to provide in-class support for students.  I am very excited about teaching fifth grade self-contained class. I encourage all parents to sign up for Class Dojo as a great way to be kept up to date on events and activities in our class.  I look forward to having a wonderful year teaching your children.

You can always help your child with math facts by having them say their facts in the car or count by playing a card a game. There will be homework sent home to reinforce skills taught in class.
