One
of the two most important aspects of our program is our Mental Health and
Family Counseling. Bilingual services are available from our staff which
consists of Licensed Clinical Social Workers, M.S.W. School Social Workers, Youth Development Specialist and
Substance Abuse Counselors.
The
SBYS mental health counseling includes two evidence based clinical practices to
assist in prevention for our students and families: The GAPS (Adolescent
Preventive Services), The BAT (Self Efficacy Behavior Tool) and the RAAPS. Our Substance Abuse Counselor counsels
directly for prevention and treatment.
