District Sustainability Showcase Celebrates Student Innovation

The district recently gathered for its annual Sustainability Showcase at the George L. Catrambone School, a special event that highlights the creativity and dedication of students as they present projects focused on protecting our planet. Throughout the event, students proudly shared their work, demonstrating innovative ideas and practical solutions that promote environmental stewardship, awareness, and action.

Student exhibits featured a variety of sustainability themes, including reducing single-use plastics, repurposing everyday materials through “trash to treasure” projects, and creating biodegradable seed starters that connect environmental awareness with gardening and plant life cycles.
