Resources - Special Services PK - 5
The Office of Special Services at Long Branch Public Schools is dedicated to ensuring that every student receives the individualized support they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Under the guidance of the PK–5 Supervisor of Special Services, our department focuses on supporting students in the elementary grades, where a strong foundation of learning and growth begins.
At the PK–5 level, the Office of Special Services oversees a range of programs designed to meet the diverse learning needs of young students. This includes early identification and intervention services, specialized instruction, and related supports such as speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and counseling. Each service is thoughtfully tailored to meet the unique strengths and needs of every child, promoting equitable access to education for all learners.
Collaboration is at the heart of our approach. The PK–5 Supervisor works closely with teachers, child study teams, administrators, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that align with state and federal requirements. By fostering open communication and a team-based approach, we ensure that each student’s educational experience is positive, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate.
At Long Branch Public Schools, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to grow in a supportive and inclusive environment. Through our elementary programs, we strive to nurture confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning—empowering students to reach their fullest potential and preparing them for continued success in the years ahead.
