Dear Students and Guardians,
Well-I was hoping to meet you in person for your 8th-grade year, but Covid19 had other plans. However, I am going to make sure you have the BEST Virtual Learning plan; a plan that makes you feel like you are right in the classroom!
I have THREE goals for myself and my students:
- Provide you a rigorous remote education so that you are college and career ready.
- Connect with your social and emotional learning needs through zoom meetings, remind101, and google classroom until we can meet in person.
- Ensure you all pass and that I am providing you plenty of opportunities to earn a passing grade.
This year is critical as it is the year preparing you for high school. To accomplish my THREE goals and adhere to our daily learning objective, please be sure to adhere to the following guidelines critical to your success:
- Attend EACH class on time. If you will not attend, please contact me ASAP.
- Review the grading policy for remote learning. In efforts to pass, you need 269 points and above in a marking period cycle.
- Learn on-line etiquette in a remote learning atmosphere.
- Sign up for my Google classroom and Remind101.
- ENGAGE Student to the teacher, student to student, and Student to the content being taught.
You can download the Remind 101 communications application and join your child's class by going to "www.remind.com/join" and enter your child's class code: @c9fbe9
