LBMS Place 19 of 20 Wrestlers in Season Ending Tournament; Captures Title Convincingly

On Saturday, February 8th, the LBMS Wrestling team competed in the Shore Conference of Middle Schools Division Tournament.  The tournament included all teams from the competitive division, which includes many accomplished individual wrestlers.  Wrestling in their last event in the Green & White, the team did not disappoint, as it walked away with the tournament title, making it back to back years with the tournament trophy.  The team had a tournament high 13 wrestlers make the championship match, coming away with six champions to seven silvers.  Additionally, the Green Wave had four wrestlers earn bronze medals, and two earn 4th.  The tournament capped yet another outstanding season for the team, where they also captured the division title.  This title is the 15th in the last 18 years for the team.  With a handful of wrestlers returning next season, the Green Wave will to build upon their strong tradition.
