Bachelor of Science
Master of Arts
I am originally from New York , I hold a Bachelor of Science from Georgian Court University and a Master of Arts from Kean University. Prior to entering Academia ,I began a career in Scientific Research for a Fortune 100 company, transferring to New Jersy with that corporation. My research was in the Biotechnology, Microbiology, and Plant Tissue Culture. I worked on a variety of projects, a few were; preservation of food products, frozen dough products, and plant tissue culture. After moving to NJ, I oversaw quality control and supervised the In House Packaging Department, which was responsible for packing products for test market.
I made a career change after the period in American History, when funds for research were cut and thousand of individuals lost their jobs., mine being one of them. So, I chose to make a Life Change after a friend said to me why don't you use your wisdom, knowledge, experiencwe, and talent to educate children about Science. Those words of wisdom lead me to the World of Academia.
I have been working in Education for over 30 years, this is my twentieth year at Long Branch Middle School. I began teaching Science at LBMS in Semptember of 2000, until Spetmber of 2016, when I became the VPA Student Facilitator.
I also, have a Registered Therapy Dog named Olivia, who comes in to visit some of our classes. It is so exciting to see the children interact and read to Olivia. What a positive experience it has been for all of us.
