Degrees and Certifications:
Madison Hlavach graduated locally from Monmouth University. She has been teaching at Long Branch for four years now, as well as works as a Professor of English at Monmouth University.
She received her BA in English & Secondary Education with a Concentration in Creative Writing & her Masters Degree in English Studies, specifically focusing on Rhetoric & Composition Studies. Currently, she is pursuing her Doctorate Degree at Rowan University in Educational Leadership. Ms. Hlavach lives locally in Ocean County and is a New Jersey Native. Her personal interest include reading, bingeing her favorite shows and movies, finding new foods to enjoy, as well as spending her summer vacation at the beach!
Ms. Hlavach has years of experience working at University Writing Centers, tutoring undergraduate and graduate level students in multiple disciplines of writing. Ms. Hlavach has a deep love for English and believes that her teaching philosophy has the potential to help students at Long Branch High School become more aware of their individual passions through writing and language: two of the most powerful tools of personal expression. Ms. Hlavach is looking forward to working with her students and learning from them this school year!
