Back to School Night
Thursday, September 23th
For those parents who couldn't attend our Back To School Night, here's what you missed:
Your children are learning how to be good active listeners and follow our classroom rules through the use of many visual cues.
We want to keep our classroom full of happy friendly students, so we encourage respect for one's self and for others. If your child comes home with a stamp on their hand, they have had an awesome day!
Please send your child to school in proper uniform clothing. Send them to school on time. If they arrive after 8:15, they have already lost one component of their learning!
Homework for kindergarten should take no more than 15 minutes. Make sure you read to them at least 20 minutes. This encourages children to be good readers, too.
Check my Scholastic books section for inexpensive titles.
If you need to reach me, please call the office, 732 222-3215 or send in a note with your child. I will be happy to address any concerns that you have.
Please look at the Core Standards to see what is expected of your child by the end of kindergarten. If you and I work together, we can accomplish many learning milestones!
